City of Monroe Responds to Water Main Damage on Thomas Street

(Monroe, LA) - The City of Monroe Water System is addressing a situation where a 12-inch water main on Thomas Street was damaged by a contractor conducting unrelated work in the area. As a result, residents and businesses within the vicinity may experience low water pressure.
 
The Water Distribution crew has promptly responded to the incident, successfully isolating the leak and initiating necessary steps for repairs. They are working diligently to restore normal water pressure to the affected area as quickly as possible.
 
"We understand the inconvenience this may cause the residents and businesses in the area, and we want to assure everyone that our team is actively working to resolve the issue," said Toby Price, City of Monroe's Interim Water Distribution Superintendent.
