Ribbon Cutting for Monroe Regional Airport Passenger Lounge

Wednesday, July 20, 2016 - 12:00pm

The media is invited to a ribbon cutting ceremony 9 am Friday, July 22, at the Monroe Regional Airport’s Passenger Lounge, located within the main terminal building at 5400 Operations Road.

Prior to closing for upgrades in winter 2015, the area was utilized as a simple location for passengers in the secure area to get coffee or vending machine snacks.  The enhancements to the passenger lounge now include two (2) business work stations, mobile device charging stations, television monitors, original photography by Patti Stewart, new comfortable seating and an aquarium.  The Monroe Regional Airport utilized funding from state capital outlay money designated for airport terminal enhancements.
