City of Monroe Upcoming Holiday Office Closures and Trash and Transit Schedule

(Monroe, LA) Mayor Friday Ellis announces City of Monroe facilities will be closed Thursday, November 24th, and Friday, November 25th, 2022, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. We will reopen Monday, November 28th , 2022.

The Monroe Transit System will be closed Thursday, November 24 th, 2022, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. Regular services will resume Friday, November 25th, 2022.

The trash schedule will be as follows:

Garbage normally collected on Thursday, November 24th, 2022, will be collected Wednesday, November 23rd, 2022. Garbage normally collected on Friday, November 25th , 2022, will be collected Saturday, November 26 th, 2022.

***We are asking residents to put their trash out the night before to ensure it’s not missed during pick-up.***
