WHAT: 13th Annual Mayor's Christmas Bike Give-A-Way

WHERE: Monroe City Hall (Council Chamber)
Mayor Jamie Mayo, Monroe City Council members and friends will help make Christmas more fun for 34 lucky elementary students who will receive a brand new bike.
School officials have selected the students they feel are deserving of this holiday gift.
Participating Elementary Schools are: Barkdull Faulk, Berg Jones Lane, Carver, Clara Hall, Cypress Point, Grace Episcopal, Jefferson Upper, J.S. Clark, Lexington, Lincoln, Madison J. Foster, Minnie Ruffin, New Vision Learning Academy, Ouachita Christian, Our Lady of Fatima, River Oaks, and Sallie Humble.
These 34 lucky boys and girls will receive a brand new bike courtesy of personal funds donated by Mayor Jamie Mayo, Councilwoman Gretchen Ezernack, Councilman Kenneth Wilson, Monroe Police Chief Quentin Holmes, Monroe Fire Chief Terry Williams, Planning & Urban Development Director Chris Fisher, Monroe Civic Center Director Charles Thomas, Buddy Embanato, Nash Patel, Twin City Firefighters, and Monroe Walmart #1193 on Lamy Lane/Louisville Avenue.
