Mayor Jamie Mayo and the Monroe City Council are pleased to join Origin Bank (Member
FDIC), the Monroe Regional Airport, and the Masur Museum of Art to proudly announce a new
exhibition of work by Cliff Tresner. Tresner is a local artist and professor of Studio Art at the
University of Louisiana, Monroe. He received the Louisiana Arts Fellowship in 2003, the
second-place award in the 7th Annual Florida Outdoor Competition (Lakeland, FL) was
Northeast Louisiana’s “Artist of the Year” in 2008, and recently won the Purchase Prize for
large-scale public art at Delta State University (Cleveland, MS). Tresner’s work can be found in
several collections, and can be seen on the grounds of the Masur Museum of Art.

Rough Around the Edges features a series of boldly colorful, abstract paintings alongside large
sculptures made from wood and steel. Geometric shapes are paired with organic forms and
spirals, and a play between rough and smooth textures make this exhibition interesting and
dynamic. Come and see all that is happening at the Monroe Regional Airport!
