NEW THIS YEAR: Raise the Roof! A roof tile fundraiser for the permanent collection. Area artists are creating a work of art using one of the original blue slate tiles from the museum’s roof. In 2020, a tornado hit the museum causing roof damage and not all the original tiles from the 1929 roof were able to be reused. We have saved these tiles and artists are creating art with them to help us with a fundraiser to benefit care of the museum’s permanent collection. 

Due to damage suffered from a fire in the museum’s art storage facility in 2017, the museum has recently purchased a new property for storing the art, increasing costs drastically for care of the collection.

Tiles will be displayed in the Lower River Gallery of the Masur Museum from October 10-20, and also online at www.32auctions.com/raisetherooftile.

Own a piece of history and a unique work of art all at once! Bidding takes place online only and will end when pARTy 318 ends at 8:00 pm on October 20.
