City of Monroe to Remember 9/11 with Memorial Service

(Monroe, LA) - Monday, September 11, 2023, will mark the anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks. The City of Monroe will honor the nearly 3,000 people who lost their lives during a memorial service.
The ceremony is Monday, September 11, 2023 at the American Legion Hall at 401 Forsythe Ave. Doors will open at 8:15 AM and the program will begin promptly at 8:46 AM.
The service will feature guest speaker Crystal Stevenson. Monroe Mayor Friday Ellis, Fire Chief Terry Williams, and Chief Vic Zordan will deliver additional remarks.
This event is open to the public.
