Mayor Jamie Mayo and the Monroe City Council are pleased to announce the following ribbon cutting.

TIME/DATE: 9 am Thursday, March 22, 2018

LOCATION: Corner of Calypso Street and South Grand (downtown Monroe)

PROJECT SUMMARY: This project repaired damage to culverts and catch basins caused by the 2016 flood waters; and then caused by undermining of the street. The project consisted of digging up the street and adjacent curb & sidewalk, repairing the damage to the underground pipes, backfilling, and the restoration of the street, curb and sidewalk.

PROJECT CONTRACTOR: Amethyst Construction, Inc.

ENGINEER: Lazenby & Associates, Inc.

CONTRACT AMOUNT: $178,721.43

FUNDING: City of Monroe Capital Infrastructure Street Fund & FEMA Reimbursement
