Monroe Fire Department to Unveil New Command and Support Vehicles

WHAT:  Mayor Jamie Mayo, members of the Monroe City Council and Fire Chief Terry Williams invite the media and public for the unveiling of new fire department command and support vehicles. Monroe Fire Department purchased (6) 2017 Chevrolet Tahoes and (1) 2017 Dodge 2500 truck at a total cost of $240,249.55  The SUV’s will be used as Front-line Emergency Response Units by the on-scene incident commanders and the Dodge Ram will be used by the Maintenance Division. 

Monroe Fire Chief Terry Williams says, “I am grateful to Mayor Mayo and the Monroe City Council for their continued support; we have an aging fleet, and these purchases have allowed us to replace those
vehicles that have exceeded their life expectancy.”
