Mayor Ellis Selected for Leadership Course at Harvard University

(Monroe, LA) Mayor Friday Ellis is excited to announce he was selected to participate in the Authentic Leadership Executive Education Course at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.

It is an exclusive opportunity extended to Mayor Ellis through his participation in the 2022 class of the Delta Leadership Institute.

Mayor Ellis will travel to Cambridge, Massachusetts; the class begins Monday, June 27, 2022, and wraps up June 30, 2022. The class is designed and led by Harvard faculty and focuses on cutting edge leadership principles. Participants will return to their companies/businesses ready to lead with greater passion and confidence, inspire others to do their best work, and create exceptional value for their companies/businesses.

Mayor Ellis is honored by the opportunity to attend the prestigious institution and further develop leadership skills that will allow him to successfully lead the City of Monroe.

“I believe great employees deserve great leadership. I will always work to improve myself as a leader in the hopes it will help me inspire and lead the employees of the City of Monroe. Many of the initiatives we are working on in the city are designed to live past my administration. I believe the Authentic Leadership training will help me better share my vision and passion with the citizens of Monroe.”

The course is being paid for by the Delta Leadership Institute, a division of the Delta Regional Authority.
