City Council Announces Addition of Defibrillators in Public Facilities

(Monroe, LA) - Monroe City Council is excited to announce the acquisition of life-saving technology devices installed in our public facilities. Councilwoman Ezernack and Councilman Harvey purchased Automated External Defibrillators for the health, safety, and welfare of the employees and citizens of this great city.

Mrs. Ezernack purchased two AEDs, one was installed in the City Hall council chamber and the other was installed at Saul Adler community center. Mr. Harvey purchased one and it was installed at the Forsythe Golf Course pro shop.

Soon, there will be additional AEDs purchased through Community Development Grant Funding and installed at the following public facilities: BJ Washington Fitness Center, Emily P. Robinson Community Center, Lille Marbles Community Center, Henrietta Johnson Community Center, Harvey Benoit Community Center, Powell Community Center.  We hope many of our city employees learn how to operate these devices in the event a medical emergency arises that needs immediate attention before the first responders arrive at the scene.
