City of Monroe to Hold Memorial Honoring 9/11

(Monroe, LA) Sunday, September 11, 2022, will mark 21 years since nearly 3,000 people were killed in the 9/11 terror attacks. The City of Monroe will honor those who lost their lives in a memorial service.

The ceremony is Sunday, September 11, 2022, at the Monroe Public Safety Center located at 1810 MLK, Jr. Drive. We will meet by the flagpole in front of the building. The program begins promptly at 8:46 a.m.

The featured speaker is Nell Calloway, Director of the Chennault Aviation and Military Museum.

Mayor Friday Ellis, as well as Fire Chief Terry Williams and Police Chief Vic Zordan will deliver remarks as well.

This event is open to the public.
