City of Monroe, LA

(Monroe, LA) In preparation for drainage work associated with the South Grand overlay and sidewalk project, the City of Monroe’s Traffic and Engineering Department have announced the following temporary road closures:

1. The closure of South Grand from Orange to Apple. The closure will begin Monday, November 21, 2022. The road should be reopened before Thursday, November 24, 2022, weather permitting.
2. The closure of South Grand from Apple to Peach. The closure will begin Monday, November 28, 2022. The road should be reopened Friday, December 2, 2022, weather permitting.

Detour routes will be set up prior to the closures.

Drivers are reminded to use caution in construction zones. Allow yourself extra time to reach your destination safely.
