WHAT: Road Closure to through traffic – Georgia Street

WHEN:  Thursday, April 30, 2026 – Thursday, May 7, 2026 (weather permitting)

Georgia Street will be closed to through traffic at the intersection of Winnsboro Road, Lock Drive and Parker Drive beginning, Thursday, April 30, 2026, from 7 AM to 5:45 PM; however, the  road will reopen daily for traffic at 6 PM. Dixie Overland Construction will be dredging and preparing the street as this is part of the Georgia Street Pump Station Project that is underway. This closure is expected to be in effect for 7 days (weather permitting), or until the work is complete. All traffic traveling north can detour west on Plum Street and traffic traveling south can detour west on Harrison Street.  Barricades and traffic control will be placed/maintained to ensure the safety of motorist and pedestrians. Please see map attached and plan your routes accordingly.
