City of Monroe Extends Warming Station Operations

(Monroe, LA) – Due to ongoing low temperatures forecasted over the next several days, the City of Monroe has extended the operation of its Warming Station at the Liller Marbles Community Center, located at 2950 Renwick Street.

The warming station will now be operational until 9 AM Thursday, December 4, 2025, coinciding with the expected rise in temperatures.

Equipped with cots, Meals Ready-to-Eat (MREs) and water, the facility aims to provide a safe and comfortable environment for anyone seeking relief from the cold.

It is important to note that the Warming Station is not equipped to accommodate individuals with special medical needs or pets. Visitors to the facility are required to be ambulatory and able to care for themselves.
