Desiard Street at the intersection of North 3rd Street to North 6th Street headed east will be closed to through traffic beginning, Monday, October 27, 2025. Amethyst Construction will mill the existing asphalt to overlay new asphalt and will have flaggers to guide vehicles safely through or around work zones during this time. This closure is expected to be in effect for 3 days (weather permitting), or until the work is complete. Traffic can detour at Harrison Street and Grammont Street or Washington Street heading east or west. Please plan your routes accordingly.
**We understand that this may create a short-term inconvenience. The City of Monroe thanks you in advance for your patience while work is in process and reminds you to drive with caution while in the work area. Be advised that it is illegal to drive around barricades**.
