WHAT: Partial road closure to through traffic
WHEN: Monday, January 19, 2026 – Friday, January 23, 2026

Entergy’s Transmission Operations will be replacing transmission structures in the City of Monroe and will temporarily close Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive from the MLK Drive bridge up to Prime Shine Auto Spa beginning, Monday January 19, 2026, and ending on Friday, January 23, 2026. Entergy’s Transmission Operations crew will have the roadway closed beginning at 7 AM to 5 PM or until work is complete. Traffic Control will be placed/maintained by Entergy’s Transmission Operations to ensure the safety of motorist and pedestrians.
**We understand that this may create a short-term inconvenience. The City of Monroe thanks you in advance for your patience while work is in process and reminds you to drive with caution while in the work area. Be on the lookout for work crews and equipment and please be mindful of all construction signage in the area. Be advised that it is illegal to drive around barricades**.
