Please be advised that Desiard Street between Walnut Street and North 2nd Street (Art Alley) will be closed to thru traffic beginning at 7AM on October 7. This closure is necessary to make drainage repairs. The closure is expected to be 10 days.
Drivers should utilize South Grand Street, Wood Street and Catalpa Street as detour routes. The City of Monroe and Bentz Construction Group reminds motorists that it is illegal to drive around barricades.
