City of Monroe to Break Ground on Powell Street Community Center Parking Lot Project

(MONROE, La.) – The City of Monroe will host a groundbreaking ceremony for the Powell Street Community Center Parking Lot Repairs project on Monday, July 27, 2026, at 1 PM at 1401 Powell Avenue, Monroe, LA 71203.
The project will enhance safety, accessibility, and convenience for residents who use the community center. Improvements include resurfacing the parking lot, upgrading drainage, adding new sidewalks and ADA-compliant ramps, installing new lighting, and improving parking areas.
The project is part of the City of Monroe’s continued investment in community facilities and infrastructure improvements that enhance the quality of life for residents.
