TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE – GEORGIA STREET

WHAT: Road Closure to through traffic – Georgia Street
WHEN: Friday, May 29, 2026 (weather permitting)

Georgia Street will be closed to through traffic at the intersection of Parker Street and Lott Street beginning Friday, May 29, 2026, due to an emergency repair as part of the Georgia Street Pump Station Project that is underway. This closure is expected to be in effect until Saturday, May 30, 2026, until 6 pm, (weather permitting), or until the work is complete. Barricades and road closure signs will be placed/maintained to ensure the safety of motorist and pedestrians. Please plan your routes accordingly.
**We understand that this may create a short-term inconvenience. The City of Monroe thanks you in advance for your patience while work is in process and reminds you to drive with caution while in the work area. Be advised that it is illegal to drive around barricades**.
