City of Monroe Independence Day Closures & Trash Pickup

(Monroe, LA) – Mayor Friday Ellis announces that City of Monroe facilities will be closed on Friday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day. The City will reopen on Monday, July 7.
Trash normally picked up on Friday, July 4, will be picked up on Wednesday, July 2.
The Monroe Transit System will also be closed Friday, July 4. However, the Transit offices will resume their normal schedule on Saturday, July 5.
Monroe City Courts will also be closed on Friday, July 4, resuming scheduled business hours on Monday, July 7.
Louisiana Purchase Gardens and Zoo and Chennault Golf Course will remain open to the public.
