ORDINANCE

 

STATE OF LOUISIANA                                                                             NO.  12,263               

CITY OF MONROE                                                                       

 

            The following Ordinance was introduced by  McFarland___________who moved for its adoption and was seconded by  Harvey_____________:

 

AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE DONATION OF IMMOVABLE PROPERTY (LOTS 23 AND 24, SQ 2, TIPPIT & COBB’S 2ND ADDN) FROM O’NEALGAS, INC. AND  FURTHER PROVIDING WITH RESPECT THERETO.

 

WHEREAS, O’nealgas, Inc. is the owner of immovable property (Lots 23 and 24, Square 2, Tibbit & Cobb’s Second Addition) located adjacent to the Emily P. Robinson Community Center;

WHEREAS, O’nealgas, Inc. desires to donate said property to the City of Monroe, and the City of Monroe desires to accept the donation of said property; and

WHEREAS, the Act of Donation from O’Nealgas, Inc. to the City of Monroe is attached hereto and made part hereof.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the City Council, in legal and regular session convened, that the City of Monroe hereby accepts the donation of immovable property (Lots 23 and 24, Square 2, Tibbit & Cobb’s Second Addition) from O’Nealgas, Inc.; and

BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that Stacey Rowell, Director of Administration, is hereby authorized to execute the Act of Donation from O’Nealgas, Inc. to the City of Monroe and any other acts necessary to effectuate the acceptance of the donation.

This Ordinance was introduced on May 13, 2025.

 

            Notice Published on the  16th _______ day of May 2025.

 

This Ordinance having been submitted in writing, introduced and published, was then submitted to a vote as a whole, the vote thereon being as follows:

 

AYES:            Harvey, Ezernack, Woods, McFarland & Muhammad

 

NAYS:            None.

 

ABSENT:       None.

 

And the Ordinance was declared ADOPTED on May 27, 2025.
