Passenger Conduct Guidelines for MTS Services

  1. Please have the exact fare ready prior to boarding the bus.
  2. Allow the operator to perform their duties without interference while the bus is in motion.
  3. Treat all passengers with courtesy, respect, and kindness.
  4. Abusive behavior, threats, or use of vulgar language on MTS property is strictly prohibited.
  5. Dispose of all trash properly and clean up after yourself.
  6. Eating and drinking are not permitted while on board the bus.
  7. Please yield priority seating at the front of the bus to elderly, disabled, and wheelchairbound passengers.
  8. Carrying weapons, firearms, flammable materials, explosives, or corrosive liquids is strictly prohibited.
  9. Use headphones or earphones when listening to music or other media devices.
  10. Limit cell phone conversations to maintain a quiet environment.
  11. All personal items must be securely stored under your seat or held in your lap.
  12. Appropriate clothing, including shirts and shoes, must be worn at all times on MTS property.
  13. Maintain proper personal hygiene while using transit services.

MTS Fare Transfer Policy

Riders have a 15-minute window to use a bus transfer once. Transfers used after that window are EXPIRED and will not be accepted. Once transfers have expired, the full-price fare must be paid. Transfers will not be issued to passengers boarding with passes.
