Passenger Conduct Guidelines for MTS Services
- Please have the exact fare ready prior to boarding the bus.
- Allow the operator to perform their duties without interference while the bus is in motion.
- Treat all passengers with courtesy, respect, and kindness.
- Abusive behavior, threats, or use of vulgar language on MTS property is strictly prohibited.
- Dispose of all trash properly and clean up after yourself.
- Eating and drinking are not permitted while on board the bus.
- Please yield priority seating at the front of the bus to elderly, disabled, and wheelchairbound passengers.
- Carrying weapons, firearms, flammable materials, explosives, or corrosive liquids is strictly prohibited.
- Use headphones or earphones when listening to music or other media devices.
- Limit cell phone conversations to maintain a quiet environment.
- All personal items must be securely stored under your seat or held in your lap.
- Appropriate clothing, including shirts and shoes, must be worn at all times on MTS property.
- Maintain proper personal hygiene while using transit services.
MTS Fare Transfer Policy
Riders have a 15-minute window to use a bus transfer once. Transfers used after that window are EXPIRED and will not be accepted. Once transfers have expired, the full-price fare must be paid. Transfers will not be issued to passengers boarding with passes.
