February 17, 2025

MONROE, LA – The City of Monroe is thrilled to announce Daniel Myers and Ashley Greer as the artists for the street mural on Art Alley in Downtown Monroe. Funded through the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Thriving Communities Program, Main Street America has served as the technical assistance partner on this project along with DOT.

Daniel and Ashley are lifelong residents of Monroe, bringing extensive experience to the Art Alley mural project. They have collaborated on over 30 murals, including works for the Northeast Louisiana Arts Council and private businesses. Their expertise spans various surfaces, scales, and conditions, from four-story murals to smaller projects. Together, they run Krewe Creative, elevating their mural art across the nation. Follow them on IG, YouTube and TikTok at @krewecreative.

The Downtown Monroe Art Alley mural is one of two large-scale public art installations funded through this program, with the second planned for the entrance at the Louisiana Purchase Gardens and Zoo. Together, these projects aim to celebrate the city’s cultural identity and enhance pedestrian spaces.

Installation is set to be complete by late spring.

The City of Monroe expresses its gratitude to all artists who submitted their proposals and to the Northeast Louisiana Arts Council for their partnership in this endeavor.
