City of Monroe Water System Experiencing Temporary Low Water Pressure Due to Cold Weather Storm

(Monroe, LA) – The City of Monroe Water System is currently experiencing low water pressure throughout the city due to a cold weather storm affecting the region. The storm has resulted in increased water demand and power outages, impacting normal water system operations.

The Water System is currently operating with generator-powered booster stations to maintain service during this time. City crews are actively monitoring conditions and managing system operations to ensure continued service.

There is no boil water advisory in effect. The City of Monroe’s water remains safe for normal consumption. Normal water pressure is anticipated to be restored later this evening as demand decreases and system conditions stabilize.

Residents may notice reduced pressure or slower water flow during this period. The City of Monroe appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation while crews work to return the system to normal operation.
