November 16, 2023

(Monroe, LA) – Please join Mayor Friday Ellis and the City of Monroe as they celebrate the completion of the Sister Margaret Ann Sanders-Jackson Playground and Benoit Community Center Parking Lot .

The Benoit Playground was renamed Tuesday night in a unanimous vote by Monroe City Council. Sanders-Jackson devoted her life to helping those in need and loved bringing her family and friends to Benoit Playground.

The recently established inclusive playground at Benoit provides an opportunity for children and parents of diverse abilities to share the joy of playing together.

The ribbon cutting is scheduled for Tuesday, November 21 at 1:00 PM at the Benoit Community Center Parking Lot and Playground.
