City of Monroe Good Friday Closures & Garbage Pickup

(Monroe, LA) – Mayor Friday Ellis announces that City of Monroe facilities will be closed on Friday, April 3, in observance of Good Friday. The City will reopen on Monday, April 6.
Garbage normally scheduled for pickup on Friday, April 3, will be collected on Wednesday, April 1.
The Monroe Transit System will also be closed on Friday, April 3. Transit offices will resume their normal schedule on Saturday, April 4.
Monroe City Court will also be closed on Friday, April 3, and will resume normal business hours on Monday, April 6.
Louisiana Purchase Gardens and Zoo and Chennault Golf Course will remain open to the public.
