City of Monroe Completes Thomas Avenue and Georgia Street Project

MONROE, La. – The City of Monroe has completed water system improvements along Thomas Avenue and Georgia Street, addressing water service, drainage and road conditions in the area.
The project included the installation of new water lines, fire hydrants and drainage pipes, along with the removal of aging infrastructure. Street improvements included repaving, curb and sidewalk repairs and other necessary upgrades.
The City will celebrate the completion of the project with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Monday, November
