How to Turn on Atmos Energy Gas Service in Monroe

You will first need a gas pressure test ran before the City of Monroe can send a request to Atmos Energy to turn on the gas at a residence within the City of Monroe.
- Select a State Licensed Plumber/Gas Fitter and they will need to request a Gas Permit under MGOConnect
- After login to MGOConnect go to Apply Online For A Permit
- Select Get Started on A New Application
- Submit a Gas Permit application by clicking Open
- After submitting the Gas Permit application, it will be processed and an invoice will be sent to the applicant(Plumber/Gas Fitter).
- Once the Building Permit Placard is issued for the Gas Permit, the Plumber/Gas Fitter will then be able to request a Gas Inspection from the City of Monroe.
- Once the Inspection is Passed, the City of Monroe will send a permit notice to Atmos to turn the gas on at the residence.
