City of Monroe and Monroe Fire Department Announces Citywide Hydrant Inspections

(Monroe, LA) – Please be advised that the Monroe Fire Department will be conducting citywide fire hydrant inspections. The inspections will begin Monday, October 26, 2026, and will last through Monday, November 30, 2026, from 8:30 AM until 5:30 PM Monday through Friday.
These inspections are necessary to ensure proper operation of the fire hydrant as well as to ensure a sufficient supply of water in the event of a fire emergency in your area. During these times residents may see a mild fluctuation in water pressure and the possibility of discolored water. To minimize problems that might occur, we ask that you check your water supply thoroughly before cooking or doing laundry.
