The following Ordinance was introduced by Harvey , who moved for its adoption and was seconded by Muhammad :
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 25-63 (MUNICIPAL GOLF COURSE) OF THE CITY OF MONROE CODE TO ADJUST THE RATES FOR THE JOHNNY MYERS MEMORIAL GOLF COURSE AND PROVIDING FOR RELATED MATTERS.
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 7791 renamed the Forsythe Park Municipal Golf Course to the Johhny Myers Memorial Golf Course;
WHEREAS, Section 25-63 of the City of Monroe Code establishes the rates for the Municipal Golf Course, now known as the Johhny Myers Memorial Golf Course;
WHEREAS, City Council desires to amend Subsection 25-63 to conform the title to the renamed Johnny Myers Memorial Golf Course, establish new rates and fees for the course, and remove extraneous provisions that do not align with current operations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the City Council of the City of Monroe, in legal and regular session convened, that Section 25-63 of the Code of Ordinances of Monroe, Louisiana, is hereby amended to read as follows:
Sec. 25-62. Johnny Myers Memorial Golf Course
The rate schedule for Johnny Myers Memorial Golf Course shall be as follows, inclusive of any applicable taxes:
(1) Rentals

| *Fees are per playing rider. No half cart rentals are permitted. | |
| Pull Carts | $5.00 |
(2) Greens Fees:

(3) Range Balls
| Small Bucket | $5.00 |
| Large Bucket | $10.00 |
(4) Specials
The Community Affairs Director and Golf Director may run specials at Johnny Myers Memorial Golf Course as needed to promote and increase play.
(5) Adjustments
Adjustments to these rates may be made by the Golf Director, with the approval of the Community Affairs Director, to accommodate events, enhance marketing opportunities, meet community demand, or adjust to changing market conditions.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the fee schedule for Johnny Myers Memorial Golf Course provided in this Ordinance shall become effective May 1, 2026.
This Ordinance was introduced on March 24, 2026.

This Ordinance having been submitted in writing, introduced, and published, was then submitted to a vote as a whole, the vote thereon being as follows:

NAYS: None.

And the Ordinance was declared ADOPTED on April 14, 2026.
