The following Ordinance was introduced by Dawson who moved for its adoption and was seconded by Ezernack:
AN ORDINANCE RESCINDING DEDICATION FOR A STREET NAME CHANGE FROM CENTURY VILLAGE BOULEVARD TO VICTORY PARK BOULEVARD, BEING AN85’ WIDE BY 1,150’ LONG, MORE OR LESS, STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY, LOCATED NORTH OF VENABLE LANE, SOUTH OF ALLGOOD STREET AND WEST OF U.S.HWY 165 NORTH AND FURTHER PROVIDING WITH RESPECT THERETO:
WHEREAS, Century Village Partners, LLC has requested the Dedication of a street name change from Century Village Boulevard to Victory Park, being an 85’ foot wide by 1,150’ long, more or less, street right-of-way, located north of Venable Lane, south of Allgood Street and west of U. S. Highway 165 North, and
WHEREAS, Century Village Partners, LLC is in the process of rebranding the development and introducing the public to the area. This development is a mixed-use business and residential project that is still currently under construction, and
WHEREAS, the City of Monroe Planning Commission has recommended this request be approved, with a 4-0-1 majority vote.
NOW, THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Monroe, in legal session convened, for a street name change from Century Village Boulevard to Victory Park, being an 85’ foot wide by 1,150’ long, more or less, right-of-way, and
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED,
This ordinance was INTRODUCED on the 14th day of December 2021.
NOTICE PUBLISHED on the 17th day of December, 2021.
This Ordinance having been submitted in writing, introduced and published was then submitted to a final vote as a whole, the vote thereon being as follows:
AYES: Harvey, Ezernack, Woods, Marshall & Dawson
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: None.
And the Ordinance was declared ADOPTED on the 28th day of December, 2021.
