ORDINANCE

STATE OF LOUISIANA

CITY OF MOROE                                                                                       NO.  11,898               

The following Ordinance was introduced by Ms.  Woods                 who moved for its adoption and was seconded by Mr.  Echols                    _:

AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE DONATION OF 108 AND 110 SOUTH 20th ST., MONROE, LA, INTO THE CITY OF MONROE BY HANNAH LUFFEY PROPERTIES, LLC, AND FURTHER PROVIDING WITH RESPECT THERETO:                                       

WHEREAS,   HANNAH LUFFEY PROPERTIES, LLC represented herein by Kathy C. Luffey, Manager, wishes to donate properties located at 108 & 110 South 20th St. Monroe, LA to the City of Monroe, (a more detailed description of the properties is described in the attached Act of Donation); and

WHEREAS, the City of Monroe is in need of these properties to extend the boundaries of the Magnolia Cemetery.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Monroe, Louisiana, in legal session convened, that the Donation by Hannah Luffey Properties, LLC to the City of Monroe of 108 & 110 South 20th St., Monroe, LA, a copy of the Act of Donation attached hereto and made a part hereof, be and the same is hereby accepted.

            BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that James E. Mayo, Mayor, be and he is hereby duly authorized to accept this Donation on behalf of the City of Monroe.

            ORDINANCE INTRODUCED on the  13th    day of  November                , 2018.

NOTICE PUBLISHED on the  16th        day of  November                , 2018.

            This Ordinance having been submitted in writing, introduced and published, was then submitted to a vote as a whole, the vote thereon being as follows:

            AYES:            Echols, Ezernack, Woods & Wilson

            NAYS:            None

            ABSENT:       Clark

            And the Ordinance was declared ADOPTED on the  27th    day of  November          , 2018.
