Councilman Carday Marshall, Sr.

Carday Marshall is a native of Monroe and has lived in District 4 most of his life. He is the son of Mr. Johnnie and Shirley Marshall. Carday is married to Aircinia Marshall and they have six beautiful children. After graduating from Carroll High School in 1994, he went on to the University of Louisiana at Monroe where he received a Bachelor’s in Business. Since 2005 Carday has been employed with Aramark, serving as Assistant Food Service Director at Grambling State University, and currently serving as the Residential Manager at the University of Louisiana at Monroe. Carday is the owner of Anointed Kreation’s Kitchen, which is a mobile food concept where he is known for his funnel cakes and other delicious foods. Over the years, Carday has served as a youth coach and mentor with Massey Miracle Run, Minnie Ruffin Wildcat youth football, Team Up Sports youth football, and several other youth sports programs in the community. Carday also serves in ministry and held the position of Second Vice Chairman of the Monroe Planning Commission where he has served since 2016. Carday is a member of the Mu Tau chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Incorporated where numerous awards and recognitions have been given for their service in the community.

One of the most important strengths that Carday believes a city should have is unity. Psalms 133:1 sums it up best for him. “Behold how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity”.
