EMERGENCY ORDINANCE

STATE OF LOUISIANA

CITY OF MONROE                                                                        NO.  11,919               

The following Ordinance was introduced by Mr.  Wilson           who moved for its adoption and was seconded by Ms.  Woods               :

AN ORDINANCE DECLARING AN EMERGENCY NECESSITATING IMMEDIATE REPAIR TO THE #3 HIGH SERVICE MOTOR AND PUMP AT THE WATER TREATMENT PLANT, AND FURTHER PROVIDING WITH RESPECT THERETO.

            WHEREAS,   the #3 High Service motor and pump located at the Water Treatment Plant, has failed and is in need of emergency repair in order to run the plant effectively and efficiently; and

            WHEREAS, it’s estimated that the cost to repair the motor and pump will be approximately $18,500.00 and the funds are available through the Water Treatment Repairs and Maintenance account.

            NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Monroe, Louisiana, in legal session convened, that the #3 High Service motor and pump which failed at the Water Treatment Plant, is hereby declared an emergency.

This Ordinance having been submitted in writing, introduced and advertised was then submitted to a vote as a whole, the vote thereon being as follows:

AYES:            Ezernack, Woods & Wilson

NAYS:           None.

ABSENT:      Echols and Clark

            And the Ordinance was declared ADOPTED on the  26th   day of February , 2019.
