For our August City Employee Community Benevolent Act, Chief Terry Williams and the Monroe Fire Department lead a school supply drive.
The supplies, paid for by city employees from all departments, were donated to the Children’s Coalition for NELA, Wossman High School, and K-9’s Community Outreach to assist these entities in their efforts to make sure local students are fully equipped for the school year. |
Mayor Jamie Mayo says, “We are Monroe proud of the altruistic spirit of our employees and community members who join in our efforts. They go above and beyond the call of duty, each month, to personally support our monthly endeavor to do special community outreach projects.”
