The following Ordinance was introduced by Harvey who moved for its adoption and was seconded by Ezernack:
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF THE FIRST AMENDED AND RESTATED COOPERATIVE ENDEAVOR AGREEMENT BY AND AMONG THE CITY OF MONROE, STATE OF LOUISIANA AND THE DOWNTOWN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT OF THE CITY OF MONROE, STATE OF LOUISIANA, RELATING TO THE COLLECTION, USE AND EXPENDITURE OF AD VALOREM PROPERTY TAX AND SALES TAX INCREMENTS IN SAID DISTRICT, AND PROVIDING FOR OTHER MATTERS IN CONNECTION THEREWITH.
WHEREAS, Ordinance 12,024 was adopted October 27, 2020, authorizing the execution of a Cooperative Endeavor Agreement by and among the City of Monroe andthe Downtown Economic Development District of the City of Monroe and the State of Louisiana, and
WHEREAS, the City of Monroe, The Downtown Economic Development District of the City of Monroe and the State of Louisiana do hereby wish to amend and restate the cooperative endeavor agreement, which was adopted October 27, 2020, by Ordinance 12,024. A copy of the First Amended and Restated Cooperative Endeavor Agreement is attached hereto and made a part hereof.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Monroe, State of Louisiana, acting as the governing authority of the City, authorize the execution of the First Amended and Restated Cooperative Endeavor Agreement by and among the City of Monroe, The Downtown Economic Development District of the City of Monroe and the State of Louisiana relating to the collection, use and expenditure of ad valorem property tax and sales tax increments in said District.
This Ordinance was introduced on the 27th day of July, 2021.
Notice published on the 30th day of July, 2021.
This Ordinance having been submitted in writing introduced and published, was then submitted to a vote, the vote thereon being as follows:
AYES: Harvey, Ezernack, Woods, Marshall & Dawson
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: None.
And the Ordinance was declared ADOPTED on the 10t day of August, 2021.
